Terms of Service
Last updated 12 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Test-Emails.com. Using the service means you accept them. They are deliberately short and specific.
1. What the service is
Test-Emails.com issues temporary, disposable email addresses and shows you the messages sent to them. It is aimed at developers and QA engineers testing signup and verification flows, and at anyone who needs to receive a one-time code without handing over a personal address.
It is free, requires no account, and is offered as-is.
2. Receive-only
The service can only receive mail. There is no facility to send, reply to, or forward messages from a generated address, and we will not add one. Any claim that a message was sent from an address on this service did not originate here.
3. Your inbox is temporary and not confidential
Inboxes are disposable by design. Messages are held on infrastructure operated by mail.tm, our upstream provider, and we do not control how long they survive. An inbox can disappear at any time, and we cannot restore one.
Do not use this service for anything you need to keep or anything you need kept secret. In particular, do not use it as the recovery address for an account that matters, and do not route financial, medical, or identity documents through it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- send, solicit, or store harassing, abusive, or sexually exploitative material;
- commit fraud, impersonate another person, or misrepresent who you are to a third party;
- evade a suspension, ban, or other enforcement action taken against you by another service;
- register accounts in bulk, or otherwise abuse a signup, trial, or promotion in breach of that provider's own terms;
- attack, overload, scrape at abusive volume, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to this service or the systems behind it.
Plenty of services deliberately refuse disposable addresses. That is their decision to make, and working around it is not a use of this site we support.
5. Rate limits and fair use
Requests are rate limited per IP address to keep the service available. Automated use through the API is welcome within those limits; sustained traffic that degrades the service for others may be blocked without notice.
6. Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. The service depends on a third-party mail provider, and it can be interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice. Do not build anything you cannot afford to have break on the assumption that it will keep working.
7. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, nor for lost data, lost profits, or loss of access to an account, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Enforcement
We can block access, at our discretion and without notice, where use appears to breach these terms or threatens the stability of the service.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change, and continuing to use the service after an update means you accept it.
11. Contact
Questions, abuse reports, and legal notices go to contact@test-emails.com.
